Dr. Marisa Seegobin Joins Spine & Orthopedic Center

Marisa A. Seegobin, M.D., a fellowship-trained sports medicine surgeon, has joined Spine & Orthopedic Center and will begin seeing patients at Spine & Orthopedic Center’s Boca Raton office, located at 9325 Glades Road, Suite 205, as well as in West Palm Beach, located at 1411 N. Flagler Drive, Suite 5000, on Oct. 1.

Dr. Seegobin brings advanced training in sports medicine and orthopedic surgery to the practice, expanding access to specialized orthopedic care for patients in Boca Raton and West Palm Beach. Dr. Seegobin’s expertise includes:

• Hip, shoulder and knee arthroscopy, including primary, complex and revision procedures.
• Complex ligament and tendon reconstruction.
• Shoulder, hip and knee replacement, including robotic-assisted techniques.
• Joint preservation, including cartilage restoration, corrective osteotomies and biologics.
• Fracture care.
• Diagnostic and therapeutic joint injections.
• Sports and overuse injuries of the ankle, elbow, wrist and hand.

Dr. Seegobin earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada. She completed her orthopedic surgery residency at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health/Jersey City Medical Center in Jersey City, New Jersey, followed by specialized fellowship training in sports medicine at Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute in Florida.

Throughout her training, Dr. Seegobin provided athletic team coverage at the professional, collegiate and high school levels, including the Philadelphia Eagles during their Super Bowl-winning season, Orlando Ballet, the University of Central Florida and New Jersey City University. She is also an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy Association of North America.

Dr. Seegobin has also contributed to orthopedic research and education through peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations and authorship of a book chapter.
