I went to see Dr. Sahai due to constant sciatica, and after an MRI, I was diagnosed with a herniated disc and spinal stenosis.I tried shots in my back, knowing it was only a temporary fix. The shots only lasted a few weeks and the pain returned. I knew that surgery was the only way to end my pain, but having heard so many stories about failed back surgeries, I was more than a little apprehensive.I have always been very active and wanted to be able to resume my running and cycling without pain. Dr. Sahai never once tried to push me to have surgery, telling me the choice must be mine. I decided to have back fusion surgery, and after only one day in the hospital, I was home and ready to start my rehabilitation. I won’t lie, the first few days following surgery are more than a little uncomfortable, but after a week or so, I was walking and driving without much difficulty.
A few months later, after following the therapy and many miles of walking and stretching, I am fully functional, and best of all, pain free. I do however have one regret, I should have had this done much sooner. Thanks to Dr. Sahai and the staff at SOC, you people are the best.
