Coral Springs, FL – Alan MacGill, DPM, FACFAS, CWS, recently named as One of America’s Most Influential Podiatrists, was a keynote speaker at the 76th Annual Scientific Conference for the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS) in Nashville, TN on March 22 to March 25.  A regional president of ACFAS, Dr. MacGill is well known in the association for his leadership and professional contributions.

Founded in 1942, ACFAS – a society with more than 7,400 foot and ankle surgeons – seeks to promote the art and science of foot, ankle and related lower extremity surgery; address the concerns of foot and ankle surgeons; ensure superb patient care, and advance and improve standards of education and surgical skill.

This year Scientific Conference hosted more than 1,800 foot and ankle surgeons and it is widely regarded as the most advanced curriculum in the profession, thus attracting the best and brightest speakers and attendees.  As a current ACFAS regional president, Dr. MacGill oversaw and led the series of lectures on March 24th with a Case Presentation in front of hundreds of foot and ankle surgeons from around the nation.

Dr. Alan MacGill is board certified by The American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in foot surgery as well as reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery, the latter of which is only achieved by a fraction of the current practicing foot and ankle surgeons in the country.

Dr. MacGill is also a Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) by The American Board of Wound Management and treats problematic lower extremity wounds both in the office and at the Broward Health Coral Springs Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine Center.

Dr. MacGill now practices at the Spine & Orthopedic Center in South Florida.
