Spine & Orthopedic Center welcomes orthopedic surgeon, Anup Gangavalli, M.D., FAAOS, to its team of elite physicians. Specializing in minimally invasive and reconstructive spine surgery, Dr. Gangavalli joins SOC’s clinical team to provide complete spine care to residents of South Florida.

Dr. Gangavalli is a Spine Surgeon with extensive knowledge and training in a wide range of spinal pathologies and the diagnosis and management of adult spinal disorders including degenerative cervical, thoracic and lumbar disease, spinal deformity, intradural and extradural spinal tumors, spinal trauma, spinal infections, congenital spinal abnormalities, and complex reconstruction/revision cervical, lumbar pathology, and more.

A graduate of Stony Brook University and Stony Brook University School of Medicine, Dr. Gangavalli completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at St. Luke’s University Hospital & Health Network in Bethlehem, PA and was selected PGY-5 Chief Resident.

Before moving to Florida, Dr. Gangavalli completed a prestigious fellowship training in Spine Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Center for Spine, in Cleveland, OH. This sought-after hybrid orthopedic and neurosurgical fellowship program is comprised only of top candidates. Only three fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons and two fellowship-trained neurosurgeons are recruited each year.
